Boxing Classes

Boxing Classes

Group classes for all levels focusing on technique, conditioning and real boxing.

Our group classes are the backbone of the gym. You will learn stance, guard, footwork and punch mechanics properly, then build combinations, defence and ring craft on top of them. Rounds mix bag work, pad work, shadow boxing and conditioning, so the fitness arrives as a side effect of learning the sport rather than instead of it.

  • Every class coached, never just followed along to
  • Beginners are introduced to the basics before anything else
  • Bag work, mitt rounds, shadow boxing and conditioning
  • Gloves and wraps available if you do not have your own

Private Training

Private Training

One-on-one coaching tailored to your goals. Build skills, confidence and results.

A private session is the fastest way to fix what a group class cannot always reach — a specific habit, an old injury, a competition date, or simply nerves about training in front of people. Your coach builds the session around you and adjusts as you go.

  • Programme built around your goal and your body
  • Ideal for beginners who want a head start before joining classes
  • Also used by competitors for focused technical work
  • Flexible scheduling around work and family

Strength & Conditioning

Strength & Conditioning

Improve overall health, performance and durability inside and outside the ring.

Boxing asks a lot of the body, so we train the body to handle it. Sessions cover strength, power, mobility and work capacity, with a heavy emphasis on the core, hips and shoulders. It scales cleanly whether you have never lifted before or you have been training for years.

  • Strength, power, mobility and conditioning in one session
  • Coached technique on every lift
  • Built to support boxing, and to stand on its own
  • Scales from complete beginner to competitive athlete

Youth Training (Ages 9–16)

Youth Training (Ages 9–16)

Build confidence, discipline and athletic ability in a safe and positive space.

Our youth programme teaches boxing the same way we teach adults — properly — while putting discipline, skill, strength and teamwork at the centre of it. Kids learn to work hard at something difficult, to look after a training partner, and to be comfortable being a beginner. Parent or guardian consent is required before taking part.

  • Ages 9 to 16, all experience levels
  • Discipline, skill, strength and teamwork
  • Coach-led throughout, in a controlled environment
  • Parent or guardian consent required

Sparring & Competition

Sparring & Competition

For those who want to test their skills and take their boxing to the next level.

Sparring is optional at MBC and always will be — but for members who want it, we run it properly. Controlled, supervised, matched sensibly, and built up in stages so nobody is thrown into something they are not ready for. For those who want to compete, our coaching staff have been there themselves.

  • Entirely optional — plenty of members never spar
  • Always supervised and sensibly matched
  • Progressive: technical sparring before anything harder
  • Competition prep for members who want to go further

Open Gym

Open Gym

Work on your game on your own time. Available for members.

Open gym gives members the run of the floor outside of class times — bags, ropes, weights and space to work. It is how people put in the extra rounds between classes, or train on a day when the schedule does not line up with their own.

  • Full access to bags, ropes and equipment
  • Train on your own schedule around class times
  • Included with the Unlimited membership
  • Available as a standalone DIY / open gym membership
